What CNC machining services does Formexi provide?

Formexi provides drawing-based CNC milling, CNC turning, and multi-axis machining for custom metal and engineering plastic parts. Each project is reviewed against its drawings and technical requirements before quotation.

What files should I send for a quotation?

Send a 2D drawing in PDF format and a 3D CAD file such as STEP, STP, or IGES when available. Include material, quantity, surface finish, critical tolerances, inspection requirements, and delivery destination.

Can you machine both metal and plastic parts?

Yes. We review projects for common machinable metals and engineering plastics. Material availability and suitability are confirmed during quotation.

Do you support prototypes and production quantities?

Yes. We review prototype, low-volume, and repeat production orders. The suitable process and quotation depend on part geometry, material, tolerances, finish, and quantity.

What tolerances can you achieve?

Tolerance capability depends on part size, geometry, material, feature location, and inspection method. Mark critical dimensions and tolerances on the 2D drawing so they can be reviewed before quotation.

Can you review my design before production?

Yes. We can identify missing dimensions, conflicting requirements, difficult features, and manufacturability risks. Any proposed change must be approved before production.

What surface finishes are available?

Available finishes depend on material and project requirements. Specify the required finish, color, texture, coating standard, and any cosmetic acceptance criteria on your drawing or RFQ.

Do you provide inspection reports?

Inspection requirements must be confirmed during quotation. Depending on the project, documentation may include dimensional reports, first article inspection, CMM reports, material certificates, surface finish verification, or certificates of conformance.

How is lead time determined?

Lead time is confirmed after review of the drawings, quantity, material availability, machining complexity, finish, inspection scope, and delivery requirements.

Can you protect confidential drawings?

Tell us before sharing restricted files if an NDA is required. Confidentiality requirements should be agreed before project documents are submitted.

What happens if received parts do not meet the confirmed requirements?

Send the order reference, affected quantity, photos, and inspection data. We will compare the issue with the approved drawing and order requirements, then provide the appropriate corrective response.
