Materials and Finishes

Common projects use aluminum, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, copper alloys and engineering plastics. Titanium, magnesium, nickel alloys and specialty polymers require material and process review. Finishing may include as-machined, anodizing, passivation, plating, coating, polishing, marking and heat treatment through verified in-house or partner capacity.

Tolerance and Surface Requirements

Tolerance and surface requirements are reviewed by feature, material, geometry, datum strategy and inspection method. Mark critical dimensions, GD&T and roughness on the 2D drawing; the quotation will state the requirements Formexi can accept for that part.

Quality Planned Before Production

Drawing review, material verification, first-piece checks, in-process inspection and final release are defined according to project risk. Full-dimensional, CMM, FAI, MTC and other documents must be requested before production so the correct evidence can be generated.
