Materials and Surface Requirements
Common turning materials include aluminum, stainless steel, carbon/alloy steel, brass, copper and engineering plastics. Titanium, hardened steel, PEEK, PTFE and slender plastic parts require process-specific review for heat, tool wear, burrs and dimensional recovery.
Inspection
Inspection methods are selected according to feature type and tolerance. Depending on the confirmed scope, diameters, lengths, bores, threads, runout and roughness may be checked with suitable gauges, indicators, surface equipment or CMM.
Capability Boundaries
Turning diameter, length, bar capacity, live-tool needs and workholding are confirmed during quotation for the submitted geometry. Long, slender or tight-runout parts may require an alternative machining route or a qualified secondary process.

Engineering Review Before Quotation
We review rotational geometry, feature access, datum relationships, workholding, material, batch size and measurement access before confirming turning, milling or a combined route.
Runout, concentricity, threads, fits and critical diameters should be identified on the drawing so the process and inspection plan can be quoted together.
Process and Inspection Inputs
Submit matching 2D and 3D revisions with material condition, quantity, datums, critical tolerances, GD&T, threads, roughness, heat treatment and finish requirements.
We confirm whether the part needs multiple setups, dedicated workholding, intermediate inspection or justified secondary operations based on its geometry and functional requirements.
